Preparation of Course Plans

A rough overview of the course planning procedure:

  • Course Plan Information CIS/”Mein CIS”/”LV-Plan Informationen”
    The course plans are compiled based on your entered information (date/time specification, block structure, weekly rhythm, room specification, software requirements, etc.). Please fill out a separate info sheet for every course you teach. If several members of the teaching staff share a course, please determine a responsible person – in this case, the data sheet is to be filled out by only one staff member on behalf of all of them.
  • Preferred Time CIS/”Mein CIS” (My CIS)/”Zeitwunsch” (Time Request)
    Here you can define the times during which you are available for teaching at the UAS. ATTENTION: There is no guarantee that these wishes can be taken into account.
  • Locked Time CIS/”Mein CIS” (My CIS)/”Zeitsperre” (Time Block)
    Here is where you define the times when you cannot work at the UAS (due to holidays, appointments, etc.).
  • Planning Phase
    Generation of the course schedule based on your provided information.
  • Draft Course Plan for Teaching Staff
    After the planning phase has ended, you check your dates in the CIS and release them.
  • Changing Phase
    Incorporation of indispensable changes by the course planning unit.
  • Release of Final Course Plan Version to Teaching Staff and Students
    The course plan is officially released for all members of the teaching staff and students and can thus be accessed via CIS/”Mein CIS” (My CIS)/”persönl. LV-Plan” (Personal Course Schedule). Users can transfer it to their personal calendar.

Changes in the Ongoing Semester

  • Cancellation/postponement of the course

    Parties to be informed:

    • Students via eCampus
    • Course planning unit
    • Study programme administration
  • Alternate date

    The course planning team is responsible for rescheduling the lost teaching units.
  • Course plan sync
    In case of changes in the course plan, you and the affected students are informed via an automatically generated e-mail (sync). Short-term changes are additionally communicated using the screens.

Room Reservation for Teaching Operations in the CIS

  • Full-time staff members
    You can make your own room reservations in the CIS. During the planning phase, please contact the course planning unit or your study programme administration.
  • Part-time staff members
    Please contact the responsible administration or the course planning team.

In case you have booked a room but do not need it anymore, please make sure to cancel your reservation!

If you need any additional seminar room equipment (pinboards, flip charts, mobile TV, etc.), please contact campus.betreuung@fhstp.ac.at via e-mail in a timely manner.
